Glorious
2005 Tattoo Now Available on Video & DVD

This
week sees the release of new DVD and Video recordings of highlights
from this August's triumphant 56th Edinburgh Tattoo.
The
90-minute programme includes previously unseen material while
a further 40-minutes of unreleased extras appear on the DVD complete
with an exclusive featurette of February's record-breaking Edinburgh
Tattoo in Sydney, Australia.
"I
am delighted that the very best moments from our popular northern
and southern hemisphere productions this year are now available
on this latest recording," said Tattoo Chief Executive &
Producer, Brigadier Melville Jameson.
Featuring
numerous bands from home and abroad, including the world-famous
Massed Pipes & Drums, Trinidad & Tobago's award-winning
Steel Orchestra, The Guard of The King of Norway and the combined
Bands of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, this recording also showcases
musical favourites such as Scotland the Brave and Flower of Scotland
as well as Paul McCartney's popular folksong Mull of Kintyre and
Caledonia, composed by Scotland's pre-eminent singer-songwriter,
Dougie MacLean.
Coverage
of this spectacular show was recorded by the BBC and includes
the voice of famous Scottish actor and narrator, Tom Fleming while
West Linton-based film production company, Electric Picture Machine,
produced the extra material for the DVD.

of the most successful show yet staged by the Tattoo may be obtained
