Opportunity
To See Sold-Out 56th Tattoo
Posted
14th July 2005
Tickets
for this year's eagerly anticipated Edinburgh Tattoo (5-27 August)
have long since sold out, but at 10am on Monday, 25th July some
4,000 half-price tickets for the Thursday, 4th August preview
performance of the 56th military showpiece go on sale from the
Tattoo Ticket Sales Office on Edinburgh's Market Street.
With
weeks to go before the 2005 Tattoo season opens, this occasion
provides a final opportunity to obtain tickets for next month's
sold-out show.
Seat
prices for the preview range from £5.00 to £16.50
and, as well as box office counter sales, tickets may also be
had by telephone on 08707 555 118 using a credit/debit card, which
is subject to a £2.50 booking fee per transaction, or via
the Internet at www.edintattoo.co.uk where the convenience fee
also applies along with a limit of 4 tickets per sale.
"As
March 31st saw the Tattoo notch-up its seventh successive sellout,
this really is a marvellous opportunity to see the popular production
and at half the normal admission charge," commented the Tattoo's
Chief Executive & Producer, Brigadier Melville Jameson.
This
year's 90-minute show includes over 1,000 performers from Australia,
Norway, Russia and the United Kingdom while paying tribute to
The Royal Navy and commemorating the 200th anniversary of the
Battle of Trafalgar.
